Gary Ayres is a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist in Guernsey, Channel Islands. He is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). He has many years of experience in offering a flexible approach to Psychotherapy with individuals, couples and families drawing upon a range of approaches and techniques.

Gary is also a qualified Art Therapist registered with the British Association of Art Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council. Art Therapy offers clients opportunities to express their thoughts and feelings via making art images and to access their personal creativity as a vehicle for change.

He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, or EMDR, a treatment of choice for trauma which is also effective with a range of other difficulties.

Therapy may consist of any one of these modalities, or of two or all three of them in combination. Sessions are planned in consultation with clients using a person-centred, collaborative approach tailored to the needs of the individual, couple or family.

Gary abides by the codes of professional conduct applicable to Psychotherapists registered with the UKCP, and to HCPC registered Art Therapists.
